About Àite

A sense
of place.

Rooted in Scotland. Made for the way people live, work and travel through it.

The name

Àite
means place.

Àite is Scots Gaelic for a place or location. It felt right for a business built around the places people stay, and the feeling a good place can leave with you.

Kieran’s family roots reach the Outer Hebrides, and Gaelic speakers are part of his family. That connection sits alongside a deep, practical love of Scotland and its many different places.

The people behind it

Founder · Àite Stays

Kieran

Kieran shaped Àite from a belief that Scottish stays should have character, care and a real sense of place. His Outer Hebridean roots and Gaelic-speaking family keep Scotland close to the heart of the work.

Operations Manager · Àite Stays

Chloe

Chloe joined as a cleaner, quickly took on the day-to-day administration, and grew into the Operations Manager role. She keeps the moving parts of every stay organised and guest-ready.
